Your initial hand therapy appointment is about creating a
personalized treatment plan based on your health history, diagnosis, and goals.
Generally, hand therapy is not covered by Medicare. If you
have a chronic medical condition, you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease
Management Plan or E.P.C., which entitles you to a Medicare rebate for up to 5
treatments per year.
It depends on your health insurance and the level of coverage. Please contact your insurance to confirm if you have covered Occupational Therapy and custom-made splints.
No, the custom-made splints, off-the-shelf splints, and other
consumables provided in the appointment are charged separately on top of your
consultation
No, you can’t use Medicare-funded plans and private health both for the same appointment.
You can pay by debit card, credit card, or cash. We currently don’t offer Afterpay, Zippay, Openpay or any BNPL platforms.
If you have health insurance you can claim your consultation fees through HICAPS, you will get an invoice for all the consumables and you can contact your insurance provider to get a refund if you have eligibility.
