What to Expect:
Follow-Up Sessions:
Book your appointment today to kickstart your journey
towards improved hand health.
Hand therapy is usually not covered by Medicare. However, if
you have a chronic medical condition, you might qualify for a Chronic Disease
Management Plan or E.P.C., which provides a Medicare rebate for up to 5
treatments annually.
To check your eligibility, consult your GP who can issue a
team care plan if necessary. Make sure to request occupational therapy to be
included in your plan. While there's typically a gap fee, you'll receive a
Medicare rebate.
It depends on your health insurance and the level of coverage. Please contact your insurance to confirm if you have covered Occupational Therapy and custom-made splints.
No, you can’t use Medicare-funded plans and private health both for the same appointment.
You can pay by debit card, credit card, or cash. We currently don’t offer Afterpay, Zippay, Openpay or any BNPL platforms.
If you have health insurance you can claim your consultation fees through HICAPS, you will get an invoice for all the consumables and you can contact your insurance provider to get a refund if you have eligibility.
When booking your appointment, please prepare the following
details:
· Full name (including middle initial)
· Date of birth
· Current address and phone number
· Brief description of your treatment needs
· Details of any private health insurance, DVA (white/gold
card), EPC, or chronic disease management care plans; ensure your GP requests
sessions for Occupational Therapy if applicable
· If using Workcover or self-insurance, provide the claim
number and case manager details
For
Workcover claims, it's essential to have approval for reimbursement. If your
claim is pending, you can still visit the therapist, but you'll be billed
privately. Following approval, you can claim reimbursement from Workcover. Keep
all payment receipts for forwarding to Workcover
